  C. Siddha Sila

A naprapath, minister, poet performer, arts educator, and muralist, Siddha Sila got his start in the Chicago mural movement in the early 1970’s by lettering inspirational text onto William Walker's and Mitchell Caton’s murals. In recent years, Siddha Sila has created community murals with the sponsorship of CPAG and the Boulevard Arts Center. Among his most important pieces are Eternal Life, Love, Freedom (1991), Have a Dream (1995), and New Life, New Love (1996). “Recapturing the Spirit and Soul of the Community through Art as a Means of Creating Sacred Space” is the title of his dissertation for his 2003 Doctorate of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Siddha Sila is the Founding Pastor of the Children of God Nondenominational Church.
