Artists Phil Schuster, Neil Gaffney, Frank Crowley, and Tony Zahner worked with eighth graders to create such pieces as a leaf-shaped birdbath, a turtle sandbox, benches, a game table, a hopscotch walk, and a “name wall” containing kids’ artwork. A concrete “river path” connects the artworks. Cynthia Weiss created the entryway mosaic Note by Note: The Languages of Our Learning with the help of students and their parents.
