Information: The Garden Gallery features more than a dozen separate artworks including sculpted and cast concrete, ceramic relief, ceramic mosaic tiles, limestone, wood, and paint. Artists Phil Schuster, Neil Gaffney, Frank Crowley, and Tony Zahner worked with eighth graders to create such pieces as a leaf-shaped birdbath, a turtle sandbox, benches, a game table, a hopscotch walk, and a “name wall” containing kids’ artwork. A concrete “river path” connects the artworks. Cynthia Weiss created the entryway mosaic Note by Note: The Languages of Our Learning with the help of students and their parents.
